JOB OPENINGS : Classroom Assistant, Part time or full time.

GaitWay uses a methodology called Conductive Education which is an intensive training for children with motor disabilities. In a classroom setting, in small groups, children practice movement, sitting, standing, stretching, using their arms and hands and other activities that can increase their independence. Students are pre-school and school age children.

Job Description: Assisting children with disabilities in the classroom under the direct supervision of a Teacher-Conductor. The position requires some lifting. On-the-job training is provided.

Hours: morning and/or afternoon classes are scheduled throughout the year

Summer Camp: June 8-July 31, 2009; Monday – Friday from 9 am - 5 pm

Rate: $9.00 per hour

Requirements: Must be at least18 years old and like to work and play with children!
Applicants must complete CPR and First Aid Training and a Fingerprint Clearance Card before the start of the employment.
